Message from State President
Welcome to the Australian Christian Churches (Queensland) website.
We are grateful to God for the developments that have occurred within so many of our local churches and, consequently, through our corporate efforts.
There is a genuine advancement of the Kingdom of God in the great state of Queensland. It is an honour to be serving the Lord during this exciting season.
Australian Christian Churches a force of Hope.
Australian Christian Churches Queensland Conference comprises hundreds of churches scattered through Queensland and the Northern Territory. From big cites and regional centers to small country towns with one dream in mind.
To be a foundation head of hope in our community;
It has been said you can go for weeks without food, days without water but not minute without hope.
In much of the world right now hope seems to be a dwindling resource our goal is to reverse the trend by God’s grace and become a force of ample supply.
Our churches cluster together in 14 regions around the state and Territory and we have a variety of department committed to fostering the dream of hope in specific demographical areas.
Regards
John

2013 QLD Flood Crisis
This past week has once again seen parts of Queensland seriously impacted by severe weather events and consequent flooding. Whilst this has been widespread, it would seem the areas affected most significantly are Bundaberg, Mundubbera, Gayndah, and Laidley.
Due to media coverage most are aware of the massive extent of the Bundaberg disaster, and latest information indicates that up to 30 or more homes of our own ACC families alone have been affected, with a number of them not covered by insurance. Not so many are aware of the impact on the smaller communities like Mundubbera, where more than 60 homes and many businesses were inundated. The town has lost its power supply, and water supply is critical. Consequently we have already deployed a Chaplaincy team, and a clean-up team, and provided an initial $2000 for emergency relief vouchers for this community.
It is our desire as a Movement to provide relief and assistance where most needed, and as we obtain more detailed information, we will, in consultation with our pastors in those towns, determine where and how that assistance will be most effective.
ACC International Relief (ACCIR) launched an appeal in January in relation to the bushfires disaster affecting Southern States. This has now been elevated to a National Disaster appeal with all revenue received from Queensland & Northern Territory churches or individuals going back to Queensland to provide assistance in this current crisis.
Some of our pastors have already enquired about donating for this cause, and I would therefore encourage all our pastors to consider taking an offering as soon as is practicable to assist. Any monies given should be forwarded to ACCIR. Account Details are as follows:
