Departments State Ministries
The size of our Movement (over 650 credentialed men and women in 277 churches in Queensland), and the huge geographical distances involved, present real challenges. We are committed to helping create a relationship based culture and a support network for those in ministry in this State.
Currently, a team of dedicated men and women assist in this ministry expression of championing the cause of the local church and strengthening the hand of its leaders. They include Ron and Annette Henry.

New Churches Queensland
New Churches Queensland exists to champion the planting of life giving churches in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Church planting in Queensland has seen at net increase of 230 churches over the last 25 years and it continues to be a main strategy for reaching lost people in Queensland and Northern Territory.
The challenges of reaching every Queenslander/Territorial are huge, however the opportunities are also great and we believe that new churches will continue to be planted in new and existing communities. Our conviction is the best churches are yet to be planted.
Many strategies exist in church planting including: The Cold Start, the Mother / Daughter Church, Cell model, Satellite Church Model and now our “Starting Strong” Church model. The fact that the ACC Queensland and Northern Territory embrace many models for church planting shows the "spirit" of church planting that exists is part of who we are and that unity in diversity is celebrated.
Starting Strong A recent development is the Starting Strong program. Church planters are empowered through attending advanced training and assessment sessions in which they become skilled in developing "Strong Teams" that establish church plants from a position of significant strength. Finance is raised and matched up to $30,000, to help newly starting churches thrive from day one. In short, "WE HELP YOU START STRONG".
If you would like a free e-copy of our church planting manual or need information on the process to follow for commencing an ACC work in Queensland or Northern Territory please contact: Craig Tomkinson (see contact details below) or Neil Scott PO Box 510 Ferny Hills DC QUEENSLAND 4055 Email: info@ncq.org.au Ph: (07) 3851 3774 Fax: (07) 3851 0298 | +w(125)) |

Chaplaincy Australia
Chaplaincy Australia is a network of Pentecostal Chaplains that exists to endorse, train, resource and serve our members and those interested or just starting in community chaplaincy. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & Nhulunbuy (NT) we represent 500 + members Australia-wide and have been present at every major national disaster during the past decade (including Granville Train Crash, Thredbo, Port Arthur, Innisfail Cyclone, Victorian Bushfires) and internationally at the Chinese earthquakes (Sichuan Province), Asian Tsunami (Sri-Lanka) and Samoan Tsunami (Oct 2009).
Many of our members are volunteers who work part-time serving a specific group of people. Typically this is within institutions such as hospitals, aged care facilities, boarding houses, schools, prisons, sporting clubs, universities and workplaces; however other members are working on the streets, in shopping centres or urban developments. Our philosophy is wherever there is a group of people and a Christian with a heart to serve them, there is potential for community chaplaincy to flourish.

ACCCare The Church is becoming a rising force of care and compassion around our great state to those people that are experiencing hardship. Our response to natural disasters continues to be amazing and impacting. Where people are hurting that is where the Church is to be present bringing hope, healing and practical demonstrations of Christ’s love.
Australian Christian Churches Care has been formed as part of our church movement. Queensland has been at the forefront to champion the empowerment and encouragement of our churches to have influence in their local community.
We are committed to empowering our Churches to impact their community. To demonstrate this commitment the State Executive has funded the development of “Establishing a Care Ministry Manual.” This very practical, how to, manual has been very well received around the state. It is a quick reference guide and has extensive practical tips and ideas on how to start, maintain and grow the care ministry of the local church.
It will be officially launched at the 2011 State Conference. So many churches have contacted me for ideas and suggestions on a number of key issues from how to raise funds? Manage projects, HR issues, dealing with the media and so many more.
There are plans to have training sessions in and around the State using both the Manual and other training material prepared by CCA that has been federally funded. All this is very exciting for you, our churches and the community in which we serve.
After the launch this manual will be available to those churches that are looking to really make an impact. Looking forward to offering assistance. | Tim Bean | | | ACCCARE State Coordinator | Email: tim.bean@citycare.org.au | | PO Box 1503 | Ph: (07) 3112 1200 | | Fortitude Valley QLD 4006 | Fax: (07) 3112 1299 |
